Software auditing management and software auditing processes



                              Software auditing is an independent test of a software process to assess compliance with specifications, standards, contractual agreements. A software Quality Assurance, where the software is audited for quality.  The auditing process are conducted for the purpose of making sure the business’ software is properly working, meeting standard criteria, and legal. If any company’s software meets in  standard criteria, that means it has been verified that sufficient licenses have been obtained to cover the software that  business is using.


                                      Auditing software refers to software designed to read, process and write data with the help of functions performing specific audit routines and with self-made macros. It is a tool in applying computer assisted auditing techniques. Audit software helps to  organize audit information so businesses can make coordinated decisions with a generalized idea of the company's financial statistics.  


                            There are five steps include the software audit; initially determine which applications to be audited,then run a report on current usage with a usage tool, then check that report have created and determine the non-usage software, after this determine which users have not used the applications for more than 60 days, then determine by the usage report if the correct versions of the applications are being used.  Finally install  a report from a tool and establish the updated compliance figures.  


                           So software audit is  important because it is a cost-saving method  to remove software we no longer use, and it can help us to identify which programs we will need to reclaim in the future. Like this audit management is also responsible for ensuring that board-approved audit directives are implemented,which helps simplify and well-organise the work flow and collaboration process of compiling audits.
