What is deployment management?





                                  Deployment involves all the processes include in getting new software or hardware up and running properly in its environment, including installation, configuration, running, testing, and making necessary changes, also includes planning, designing, building, testing and deploying new software and hardware components . It is important to maintain integrity of live environment by deploying correct releases. Release Manager is the process owner of this process.


                                  The main objective of deployment management is creating a clear and comprehensive release and deployment management plans that enable the customer and business change projects to align their activities with the plans.  IT service provide several services, components, applications etc. In the information technology Industry, deployment refers to post-sales process of guiding a client from purchase to use of the software or hardware that was purchased.


                            A single deployment process provides a number of benefits. That includes the requirements like analysis, scope analysis, customization, systems integrations, user policies, user training etc. In the system deployment, the benefits from high levels of user involvement and management supports.Deployment management that includes the following objectives, such as latest or changed services are capable of delivering the agreed service requirements, delivering change faster and at optimum cost and minimized risk, successful and on schedule deployment of release package etc.
